Anyone doing some knotworks should have some kind of marlinspike and this fits the bill quite nicely.
It has satin smooth surface. The tip is tapered to a fine but smooth point, just perfect for small diameter cordage. The body has checkered knurling, but it's polished to a really smooth surface to not to tear any fibers. The overall craftsmanship is great.
Tool could be inch or two longer for practical reasons, but I guess this is modelled after CountyComm's pens to look similar and to fit same pen holders.
Made from titanium it's highly resistant to any corrosion, which is good thing working around seawater.
Sizewise this is best for paracord and smaller cordage, not for actual ropes.
The tool came with plastic container, which is good for storing small stuff like needles and such.
It helps loosening up knots effectively, open can lids, punch holes into anything softer than itself and act as an emergency self-defense tool.
